Description

Okay, here's the story of this one... and I'm afraid it's not a super-fantastic fanfic at the end of which you would say, "Oh, yes, it's completely reasonable and justified that T'Pol would calmly and logically choose to don a battle bikini..." No, friends, this is the sort of story that begins, "Well, you see, this costume was on sale at Rendo..."

So, okay, this fabulous costume by Powerage was on sale at Rendo a while back and -- even though I knew that I didn't need it -- I bought it because... well, who knows? A person might have to illustrate a story where T'Pol appears in a battle bikini someday. So this lovely collection of pixels has been sitting in my Runtime, criminally unused, for quite a while now. When I was sorting my V4 costumes into folders, I saw this little gem and thought, "My gosh, I haven't even tried it on anyone." I happened to have T'Pol loaded up at the moment so I put it on her -- just for giggles. And she looked fabulous. I thought, "Gosh, she could almost be a Frank Frazetta heroine in that outfit..." But, of course, if you're going to be a Frazetta heroine, you gonna need some hips. Before I even got to a minimal acceptable level of badonkadonkage, the little corset thingy that comes with the Miraossa Legend outfit began to distort and look lumpy, so I switched over to Garee's Martian Princess top and bottom (which I also did not need to buy to do the sort of Trek-themed renders that comprise 90% of my work -- but as I said, you never know...). This outfit was much more accommodating of scale of female pulchritude I felt I needed to achieved true Frazetta-osity. However, sadly, I couldn't quite reach my goal of perfect zoftig-ness. T'Pol and V4 are just too skinny. I did, however, hit on a look that reminded me of some illustrations that the great :iconfygomatic: has done of familiar ladies in inexplicably fancy and scanty clothing.

Perhaps I should not have wasted your time with this long-winded explanation at all, but instead just greeted you -- as that artist frequently does -- with a cheery, "Peeps!"
